The script is called "Cyrillic" and it's used for writing a large number of Slavic languages, not just Russian.

((Why do people get offended when you provide them with information they don't know? If it was anybody other than RLP, I'd assume they'd get offended and say, "Whatever, I don't care, that's beside the point." instead of being grateful that I've given them an easily memorised bit of knowledge. Luckily Lojbanistan is awesome and people don't get offended by correcting of grammar or dispensing of knowledge. That's why I lurve yew guiz.))
Why can't the flash cards include the formal definition? That's how I do it with Anki and it works a hell of a lot better (for me) than using gloss words only.
