then we should ask, "what should it focus on?". ".i" is more
"focusable", than both capitalized "I" and pure ".", 2 dots is better
than one, so the sentence boundary is already better "anchoring" in
"lojban", then in most others.

The next best thing to focus on is a selbri, as it carries the "core
relation" thing. However, typical sentence contains a lot of selbri-s,
inside «lo ku», «nu kei», «lu li'u»etc. None of them gets a focus in
"conventional typography".

Then goes all the "syntax words", terminators, and their numerous
counterparts. Marking them with something like «([{ do can  make the
life easier for the learner. But again, typical sentence will need a
lot of them, so we will introduce a lot of undesirable "noise" into
the text. Probably, it would be nice to use them in some non-trivial
places, however "too complex" case will require the counting of
opening/closing "braces", something, humans do not like very much. The
indentation do works better here IMO, that is again not in "English
typography".

So, it looks like an attempt to use the conventional typography will
just distract en eye from the most "valuable" or "complex" places.
With the exception of carefully placed [«({})»].
