My lojban is not good enough to check that all the "add-ons" (quotes, parenthesis, etc) are placed correctly but, assuming they are, I find the second one much much more appealing an easy to the eye.

What we would really need is a point of view from somebody whose mother language does not use latin. Any Hebrew or Chinese or Arabic or ... speaker around?

I would remove the roman numeral from the title as this is what pamo'o is for, apart from that I'm sure that a newcomer will feel much less intimidated by the second page.

The fact that the the ".i" is written ". I" (possibly on two different lines) is not disturbing me at all.

I would judge your work with the following criteria:
  - Is it readable and easy to the eye ?
  - If I strip all non-lojbanic elements (quotes, parenthesis, etc) is the result correct according to lojban rules?

If the answer is "yes" to both, I will be absolutely in favor.
