Re: [lojban] What gets into 'lo broda'
OK, so I am not getting it. 'lo cimei be lo broda' is not some trios out of lo broda but just a trio out of lo broda, not in any sense different from (what used to be written as) 'ci lo broda'. So how do we get references to cases of several selection, each of them a trio, say?

I suspect you must be reading "ci" as a quantifier (with scope over
the quantifier "re") there, otherwise I don't see how you can get
anything other than exactly two things from that.

Given the referents of "lo cimei be lo broda": eaxctly two of them do brode.
That's all.
What do we know about the referents of "lo cimei be lo broda", we know
that they are three and that they are among the referents of "lo
broda".
What do we know about the referents of "lo broda"? That they broda.
