I'm not sure I follow.  The {lo nu} introduces a bridi which is {cuxna lo drata jibri}.  The x3 place of {bilga} never gets filled.  In order to make the {drata jibri} be the x3 of bilga you'd have to kill the {nu} with {kei} like {mi ki'u bilga lo nu cuxna kei lo drata jibri}.

Or am I misunderstanding your question.

No, that was it, thanks. Forgot about kei. I've memorized a lot of words but my grammar is still pretty weak.
