Re: [lojban] Re: Lojban Kids Show

The city I live in, Boise, ID, is the largest city in Idaho, the 3rd largest city in the Pacific Northwest, and the 100th largest in the U.S. (by population). As of the 2000 Census, the pop. density of Boise was 1,124.7/km², with a total population of 185,787 people, 74,438 households, and 46,523 families residing in the city. Boise covers roughly 166 km². ¹

In my own personal opinion, Boise is only BARELY large enough to even be CALLED a city, and it's still small enough to have some of that towny appeal. So, as far as population density goes, I vote for something around the 1k Boise has.

Mumbai has an population density is estimated to be about 22,000 persons
per square kilometre. Calgary has a population density of  about 1,400
persons per square kilometre. New York has about 10,000 per square
kilometre.

I think the real question is what kind of city do we want it to be, and
how close together are the houses going to be.
For my current view on this city, I'd probably vote for around 5,000 per
square kilometre; maybe a little lower even.

Just my re fepni.

Cheers, lorx.
