A language has to be started early to be learned well. I'd start it at 5 (or 
earlier, if the parents speak it), and let the kid decide which one to learn. 
Even if he switches languages every year, he'll have an easier time learning 
yet another language, and a better appreciation of Lojban, than if he had no 
second language. After 9 he can study grammar, linguistics, etc.

Should preference be given to the six source languages?
