The problem I have is that in "le mamta be leblozeile'a no'u la
modix." the name is attached to "le mamta" and "be no'u" is not
grammatical.  I agree it's not the best solution but for now I'll
leave beme'e

That's true but I had problem with "protect". Since {bandu} requires
an event it would be much complicated (to me) to translate and, since
the original said that the shot would have protected him from
"something", I pretended the shot had some vaccine mixed with Vitamin
C against scurvy. THat might be scientifically inaccurate but I
guessed that children wouldn't have noticed.

btw I understand the reason but I think that it's a shame we can't
easily express concepts like "the mother protects the child". We must
always specify "how".
