you want to make as assertion ("Man basically uses a mind for
survival"), not just an observative ("There's a basic user of a mind of
man for survival"). But if you want to keep the emphasis of the
original, put the mind up front: "lo menli be lo prenu cu jicmu tutci lo
z'i renvi")

Yes, I made the mistake of not running a word search through my
gismu list; I was familiar with "pilno" from it being talked
about in the section on modal places, but "tutci" is obviously a
much better choice -- I like your translation much better
(well, except for the fact that you managed to drop the "a"
from "za'i").
