The parser basically ignores ".y", but I suppose the pre-parser can be
told not to ignore it.

Now, if B is truly hesitating after "di'ai", as they realize they
didn't want to actually say that word...

Okay, that idea doesn't really work. The only other idea I can think of is "li'o .ie" - "di'ai si .ienai li'o"

That does mean that di'ai has to remain invisible to si, of course.
