No, {y} can't be used in fu'ivla.

{r} is used to join the initial CCVC-, CVCC- or CVC- with the
remaining C.... part of a type-3 fu'ivla. The three possible patterns
of type-3 fu'ivla are: CCVC-r-C..., CVCC-r-C..., CVC-r-C...

If -r- can't be used because the preceding or following consonant
is an r, use -n-. If -n- can't be used, use -l-.
