Well, that's what I'm trying to get at. It seems a bit redundant when
you actually put it in there, but without it, to me, the sentence
seems a bit vague. "which is lit by things making up a line hanging
from the ceiling". What things? We can infer that they're some sort of
light source, but it's odd to need to infer that.
