The Hispanics I know say "pastel" for "cake", but few of us are from 
Argentina. Most are from Colombia, Venezuela, El Salvador, or Mexico. I've 
seen something labeled "Pecan pie/Pay de nueces", and the first meaning I 
thought of for "pay" is some word in Quechua, until I saw the English.
