I think you're confusing the place structures of "cpedu" and "preti". lu ma 
zasti? li'u preti zo'e mi do .iku'i mi cpedu lu ko ga'orgau le canko li'u do.

lo kanro is someone who is healthy. So "xamgu lo gerku lo kanro" would 
mean "is good for a dog in the aspect of someone who is healthy", which 
doesn't make sense.

Ungrammatical. "pe" should be followed by a sumti or a prepositional phrase. 
You could say "lo sodva cu xamgu lo gerku lo ka kanla kanro" or "lo sodva cu 
xamgu lo gerku kanla lo ka kanro".

"pe" can be followed by a prepositional phrase, as in "la .arden. pe ne'i la 
DElauer." (as opposed to the one in North Carolina).
