You are correct. Cases (падежи) are the forms of a noun which is declined 
(tersu'i vlacne tairmupli): стол, стола, столу, столом, столе. Aspects 
(виды), of which there are only two in Russian, are imperfective (ca'o) and 
perfective (co'i), and Russian has pairs of verbs with no real consistency on 
how to form one from the other. Declensions (vlacnemo'a) are different sets 
of case endings; стена belongs to the first and стол to the second, if 
they're numbered like Latin or Greek.
