Yeah, I'm not sure that parses correctly.  le la sam pendo is a single sumti like (le (la sam) pendo) or "the (of sam) friend".  So {mi} becomes x2 and {ku} terminates nothing.

Oh yeh, I was trying to say "Sam, who is my friend, is a dog.". Would
"le la sam pendo mi ku gerku" work?
