Well, that was a non-restrictive relative clause, so not a sentence either, but 
I see how you might find it objectionable.

"argle-bargle" is a made-up[ expression (I think, but I should check) for 
nonsense, particularly apparently literate nonsense.

The "last sentence" I was disagreeing is the incidental enclosed in
parenthesis (which is not a question).

Anyway, happy to see I misunderstood what you meant.

By the way, I can't imagine what an "argle bargle" (physical or
metaphysical) could be.
