Actually IIRC the preferred term when discussing them in Lojban is
seljvajvo, because they're bound by rules rather than being rules. But
"dikyjvo" is the traditional name because it was coined first even
though it is, in fact, totally wrong.

Past experience has shown me that we Lojbanists care much more about correctness than tradition. Also, jvajvo is a lujvo meaning {javni lo lujvo}. lujvo can not be se javni.
