While I have said recently that COI broda == COI le broda or COI la broda depending on context, I would be completely fine with it being explicitly defined as the former. However I will say that requiring this will not prevent jokes--for example {coi le xalbo} when speaking to {la xalbo} is often a reasonable description, which would make {coi xalbo} also a reasonable greeting phrase.

di'u sounds like a step back to something like TLI Loglan that had not requirement to use {doi} (or whatever it was called)
