Sorry to keep adding to this endless thread.  But I just want to make the observation that lojban split off from loglan because one person was deciding how things were going to be despite what the community wanted.  The parallel draws itself.  As a member of the community, I won't accept non-standard use of capitalization as true lojban.  Adding << as fancy whitespace and whatnot... whatever.  But the CLL clearly states that capitalization is for emphasis, not for marking the start of "sentences" and proper nouns.

It's true, anybody can publish whatever they want and call it "lojban".  That's in their power.  I could define a Luke version of lojban that shifts every character down one (a -> b, b -> c, etc...)  But that doesn't mean that the LLG has to accept or endorse it.
