You wouldn't "pe'i ro'e" it but you might "pe'i ro'o" it. In any case
it's a lose paraphrase, not a strict equivalence, and it might need
adjustement in particular cases.

I think we have the same understanding of it, but I don't speak for
the inventors of "da'oi".
